A guided journey through Psalm 23 to encounter Jesus through Scripture, story, and rest.

HeartCare Breathe is a six-part guided encounter journey through the imagery of Psalm 23.

It’s an invitation to slow down, step into the story of Scripture, and meet with Jesus as your Shepherd — not just as someone you know about, but as someone who walks beside you, cares for what you carry, and gently leads your heart into rest.

Many of us have read Psalm 23 and felt the beauty of its imagery:

A Shepherd who leads.
Green pastures.
Still waters.
A restored soul.
A table in the presence of enemies.
Goodness and mercy following every step of the way.

But what would happen if we didn’t only read Psalm 23 from the outside?

What if we entered it like a story?

What if the Psalm became a path to walk with Jesus — a place where our hearts could slow down, notice what we’re carrying, and encounter his compassion and kindness in a way that feels deeply personal?

That is the invitation of HeartCare Breathe.

Who is this for?

Breathe is for anyone who longs to experience Jesus more personally, but may not always know how to slow down and receive his love.

It may be especially helpful for the ones who:

  • love Jesus, but sometimes feel tired or distant from him.

  • want Scripture to move from head knowledge into more heart connection

  • want to notice more of what their heart is truly carrying

  • find it hard to rest without guilt or pressure

  • are curious about meeting with Jesus through story, imagery, and journalling

  • want a gentle place to begin

The Journey

Breathe is a self-paced online journey designed to be taken slowly, in your own time. Through six guided narratives based on Psalm 23, along with teaching videos, guidebook reflections and other resources, you’ll be invited to slow down, notice your heart and explore a gentle, personal way of connecting with Jesus through story.

1. Presence
We’ll begin by slowing down and stepping onto the path with Jesus — making space to notice his presence and discover that with our Shepherd beside us, we already have what we need for the journey ahead.

2. Rest
Rest doesn’t always begin with stillness. Sometimes it begins by recognising the weight we’ve been carrying — and discovering what it’s like to let Jesus hold what has become too heavy.

3. Restoration
Some journeys leave their mark on us. Restoration makes space for the tired, tender and wounded places of our hearts, experiencing the compassion of Jesus as he comes close, tends what hurts and prepares us to keep walking.

4. Courage + Comfort
The path of peace doesn’t avoid every valley. Here, there is room for our deepest questions and fears — and an invitation to discover the light, protection and comfort of a Shepherd who walks through the darkness with us.

5. Abundance
Even the deepest places can hold unexpected abundance. Among the questions and whispers of the valley, we discover a Shepherd who has prepared something for us there — inviting us to receive, feast and let him lavish us with his love.

6. Dwelling
Morning light can change the way we see the journey. As goodness and mercy come into view, we continue with our Shepherd towards somewhere new — discovering just how deeply he desires to make his home with us.

Breathe is beginning.
